“All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.”

OUR WORK
PRACTICAL CARE
Food and
Food and
Clothing
At Elim Mitcham we strive to fulfil the scripture in Matthew 25:35–36.
We are therefore encouraged to do it for the Lord by sharing and providing food and clothing for the needy in our communities. As Ambassadors of Christ on the earth, we trust God to be there for the needy even as they believe the Lord to give them clothing and food.
FOOD BANK
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
Sharing food.
Sharing food.
Sharing hope.
We support the community through our food bank project and encourage members of the community to back us as we need volunteers to run our food bank, and continuous donations of non-perishable items.
God bless you richly as you support His work.

CLOTHING WITH DIGNITY
Sometimes something simple can make a real difference.
With regards to clothing, whether it’s clothing for an interview or for a child to go to school, there is a need to wear clothes. Clothing meets an important basic need.
If someone needs a warm coat, work trousers and shirts, skirts and blouse, school uniforms, church dress, new underwear or a pair of shoes, generous church and community members have donated those items and more.
Eligible individuals can approach the church for free clothing as the need arises and can select items needed within the stock we hold.
People who are homeless can receive additional clothing, especially in the winter period where there is an essential need for warm clothing.
ITEMS WE CONTINUALLY NEED
01
Socks & underwear
02
Coats & warm clothing
03
Shoes
04
Useful, decent clothing
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
It is as an influence of the above passage that we attempt, by His grace, to carry out the prompting of the Lord.
Please be involved in this great work of the Lord who supplies every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

EVERY GIFT MATTERS
Donations
You can make a difference to the needy and disadvantaged in the Mitcham area in a very immediate and direct way.
By making a donation to Elim Mitcham, however big or small, you are helping our work which includes supporting vulnerable people in our community.
You can also help us by volunteering your time, your unwanted items or even use your talents to make a difference.
Your help will ensure that we can continue to give disadvantaged members of our community the opportunity to regain control of their lives, and in turn become encouragers and supporters of those in need.
WAYS TO SUPPORT
There is more than one way to make a difference.
Financial support, however large or small.
Useful food, clothing and other practical items.
Give your time, skills and talents to support the work.
PROVERBS 11:25
